Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a baking sheet. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Stir in currants and add enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll out dough on a floured surface to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out 2-inch circles with a biscuit cutter or glass, and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until well-risen and lightly browned. Serve hot, sliced crosswise, with butter and jam. Place unwrapped hard candies in a heavy plastic bag, then place bag on top
of folded towel and crush candies into small chunks wiht meat mallet or
small ha "beau monde" dip Mix well, chill, and serve with dipping veggies.

(350^) for 30 minutes. Serves "better than marie's" cornbread Combine baking mix, cornmeal and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add eggs and milk.
Beat until well blended. Carefully stir in melted margarine (it may
splatter). Pour into greased 9 in. square pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40
minutes or until done. Serves 6.
"better than sex" cake Bake cake in 9 by 13-inch cake pan, as directed on box. Let it cool
slightly and poke little holes in the top of the cake with a pencil.
Dribble sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over cake. Let stand for
over an hour until the cake has co "better than sex" dessert Crust: combine flour, sugar, and pecans. Cut in margarine until crumbly.
Press into 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 F for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool.
Filling: beat together powdered sugar and softened cream cheese. Fold in
half of Cool Whip. "betty crocker's" fresh tomato salsa Mix all ingredients.
Author's Notes: Here is the all-purpose southwestern favorite. This simple
salsa is unbeatable when tomatoes are at their brilliant best. If time
permits, refigerate the salsa for two or three hours before serving, so
"binx" gardner's cream pie : Hand beat egg whites until somewhat frothy. Combine flour, sugar
and salt and add to egg whites; beat until smooth, losing grainy
look. Add vanilla. Beat again. Add cream and stir until well blended.
