Ingredients: 1 Slice(s) piece, cut into slices ginger root 1 Cup(s) water 1 27/625 Pound(s) sugar 39/2500 Quart(s) ginger simple syrup 3 fresh leaf mint 1 1/2 gin 2/3 juice lime 1 top off with ginger ale |
Directions: Lightly bruise mint with ginger syrup in a tall glass. Fill with ice, add gin, lime juice and top with ginger ale.* For the ginger syrup, make a simple syrup (combine the 2 cups sugar, 1 cup water and ginger and simmer until sugar has dissolved or 'desired' ginger taste has been achieved) but add sliced or shredded fresh ginger with the sugar and simmer; the longer it simmers, the more peppery the results. |
