Ingredients: 5 Cup(s) all-purpose flour; (5 to 5 1/2 cups) 1/3 Cup(s) plus 1 tablespoon sugar 2 Package(s) Fleischmann's. Rapid Rise Yeast 4 Teaspoon(s) grated lemon peel 1/2 Teaspoon(s) salt 2/3 Cup(s) milk 1/3 Cup(s) water 1/3 Cup(s) butter or margarine 1 egg white 2 eggs; at room temperature 1 Cup(s) chopped or pitted dates; snipped 1/2 Cup(s) sliced almonds; lightly toasted |
Directions: Combine 2 cups flour, 1/3 cup sugar, undissolved yeast, lemon peel and salt. Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120: to 130:F). Stir into dry ingredients. Stir in 2 eggs, dates, 1/4 cup almonds and enough
remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 6 to 8 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
Reserve 1/3 of dough. Divide remaining dough into three pieces; roll each to 30-inch rope. Braid ropes. Place on greased baking sheet. Form into ring; pinch ends to seal. Divide remaining dough into 8 pieces; form into
oval rolls. Place on separate greased baking sheet. Cover wreath and rolls; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30
to 45 minutes.
Beat egg white with 1 tablespoon water; brush on wreath. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and almonds. Bake at 350:F for 15 to 20 minutes for rolls and 30 to 35 minutes for wreath, or until done. Switch positions of sheets
after 10 minutes for even browning. Remove from sheets; cool on wire racks. Frost and decorate rolls as desired.

Barley bread Dissolve yeast in warm water & place in large mixing bowl. Stir in
honey & leave till yeast becomes foamy. Combine the three flours &
add half to the yeast. Beat with a wooden spoon for 10 minutes. The
consistency should be of t Ray bauer's swedish rye bread (limpa) THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Combine the first 7 ingredients (using FRESH seeds only!) in 1 1/3 cup of
boiling water and soak for 1 hour minimum. (This pre-soaks the cracked
wheat and pre-releases the other flavors.)
Dump this concoction in Malted rye bread abm Scald milk and let cool to room temperature.
Bring all ingredients to room temperature and pour into bakery, in order.
Set "baking control" at 10 o'clock. Select "white bread" and push Start.
In hot & humid weather Tri-grain bread Garrett. WONDERFUL! I used quick rise yeast. Original recipe calls
for 2 T butter instead of applesauce. Makes 1 1/2 lb. loaf.
Panasonic/Nat'l machines use 3 1/2 t yeast. DAK/Welbilt machines, add

only until the dry ingredients are moistened. Turn into a well-oiled and

and let stand 15 minutes. Add oil and flour. Knead for 3 minutes. Shape
into a loaf. Let rise in pan until double in size. Bake at 350 F. for 45

the 1 cup rolled oats, light molasses, shortening, and
salt just until warm (115 to 120~) and shortening is
almost melted; stir con Oatmeal honey bread Put the oatmeal, honey, salt and butter in a large mixing bowl. Add
boiling water and mix together. Let stand for 45 minutes, stirring

combine egg product and lemon juice; stir over low heat (watching carefully
so eggs don't cook) until thickened. Slowly stir in evaporated milk until
heated. Remove from Harold mcgee's pasteurized eggs - microwave Place yolks in 2 cup measure. Beat until well blended.
Add lemon juice. Beat again. (or vinegar)
Add water. Beat well.
Cover bowl or cup with saran (or a plate) and heat in micro until the
surface of the egg yolk begins to heave. Count 8 or Mexican deviled eggs Cut the eggs lengthwise into halves. Slip out the yolks and mash with a
fork. Mix the mashed yolks with the mayonnaise, cumin, capers, mustard,
salt and the jalapeno pepper. Fill the egg whites with the egg yolk
mixture, heaping lightly. Spr Peanutty stuffed eggs Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully remove yolks and blend with peanut
butter and mustard. Spoon mixture into whites. Cover and chill
thoroughly.

has almost subsided, add the onions, and, stirring frequently, cook for
eight to ten minutes, until golden. tir in the stock, peas, parsley,
