Ingredients:
4/23 Pound(s) butter
163/1250 Pound(s) sugar
1 71/86 Pound(s) flour
3/16 Quart(s) milk
1/12 Ounce(s) salt
2 beaten egg
2/3 Slice(s) finely chopped bacon
1/4 Cup(s) water
1 Ounce(s) active dry yeast
Directions: Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. In a large bowl (or sauce pan) combine sugar, salt, butter and milk. Heat until all dissolved but not hot. Add beaten eggs and yeast mixture. Slowly add in flour. Can mix by hand or with electric mixer. May need to add a little more flour if too sticky. Need dough by hand until flour is well incorporated. Let rise until it doubles in size in a warm place for about 1 hour. Meanwhile chop bacon. After dough has doubled in size take small ball of dough and make into a flat round circle. Fill center with bacon. Pinch dough closed and place on lightly greased and floured cookie sheet seam side down. Let rise on cookie sheet for about 1/2 hour in a warm place. Glaze top of buns with egg and milk wash. Bake at 350A° F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
