2 Cup(s) All-purpose flour
2/3 Cup(s) Wheat germ
2 Teaspoon(s) Baking powder
1 Teaspoon(s) Ground cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Baking soda
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Ground nutmeg
1/3 Cup(s) Butter or margarine, cold
1 large Tart apples, peeled
1/2 Cup(s) Milk
1/4 Cup(s) Honey
2 Teaspoon(s) Sugar
Directions: In a large bowl, combine flour,wheat germ, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. combine the apple, milk and honey, add to dry ingredients just until moistened. Turn onto a floured surfac, knead gently 5-6 times. Gently patt dough into a 9-in. circle, 1/2 in. thick. Combine topping ingredients, sprinkle over dough. Cut into eight wedges and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
