Almond Macaroons



Ingredients:
4 Ounce(s) almond paste
4 43/249 Ounce(s) powdered sugar
1 Pinch(s) fine salt
1 egg whites
1/4 Teaspoon(s) vanilla
163/1250 Pound(s) sliced almonds
Directions: Preheat oven to 300F . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and setaside. Place almond paste, sugar and salt in the bowl of an electric mixerfitted with the paddle attachment; beat on medium speed until mixturelooks crumbly, about 3 minutes. Add egg white and vanilla. Continuebeating until mixture is smooth and thick, about 3 minutes more.Drop 12 even tablespoons of batter about 2 inches apart on lined bakingsheet; place 2 almond slices on each mound of dough. Bake cookies,rotating baking sheet halfway through, until golden brown, 20-25 minutes.Transfer cookies to a wire rack; let cool completely.
